Lithograph, ed. 100
30 1/2 by 23 inches
I'm consistently impressed with the work of my students. Each day they are getting better, I'm enjoying reading their chapter analysis. Today we looked at two videos in class, one was the importance of analyzing art and how to ask questions about what is not there. The second video show an excellent example of an analysis of Art Spiegelman's Crossroads Lithograph (1997). Students were able to see what makes a strong analysis, the use of artistic and graphic elements, along with the background of unfamiliar items.
Students are to read up to chapter 16 and complete one analysis per chapter. We are planing to finish the book on Friday and begin writing next week.
Happy reading and keep up the awesome work!
