We are starting in the south and Jim Crow Laws. Monday, the students were introduced to Jim Crow, the laws, and other social, historical, cultural, and geographical context of the segregated south.
Today we took current news, a statement by Betsy DeVos, and looked at how that relates to the Jim Crow South and the issues the statement rises.
Our goal is to create and present a historical project based upon the social, historical, cultural, and geographical context of the novel.
